The 1st edition of the East African T20 Series will be an annual event to feature teams from the region as they all use the event to prepare their teams for international engagements.

The side of 14 features two debutants Ronald Lutaaya and Cyrus Kakuru who both were part of the U-19 World Cup Squad early this year. Pascal Murungi and Joseph Baguma who were part of the Africa Cup winning squad keep their places in the team.
