Kampala – Former Kazo Constituency MP, Gordon Bafaki has died .
Bafaki (48) was involved in a fatal accident that happened on Wednesday at around 1:20am at Kiwatule along Northern bypass.
Police reports indicate that the accident occured after Bafaki’s motorvehicle registration number UBD 965E Toyota /land cruiser TX collided with a Mercedes Benz trailer registration number KBZ 539Z.
According to Faridah Nampiima the Traffic Police spokesperson, Bafaki died on spot and his body was taken to Mulago City Mortuary.
Nampiima noted that the driver of the Trailer identified as John Kahagi Kinuthia is in police custody to help in investigations.
Deputy speaker Thomas Tayebwa has eulogised the deceased for pushing interests of his people and the country at large.
“I am saddened to learn of the death of former member of Parliament for Kazo Hon. Gordon Bafaki who perished in an accident along the Northern Bypass last night. He was an assertive colleague who pushed for the interests of his people and country. My condolences to the family.” Tweeted Tayebwa on Wednesday morning.
