The tournament has not been held for the last three years because of the Covid-19 pandemic and other challenges.

Ssemujju who has guided the police handball team to the last couple of titles of the Uganda Handball Federation League said: “We must be very careful with host Rwanda and Kenya because they are our only opponents in this year’s championships.”

“We will have the chance to watch Rwanda play Kenya on March 25th on Saturday before facing Kenya on Sunday. As of now, we don’t have an idea of how they play but we will craft a plan on how to tackle them once we have watched them against Rwanda,” Ssemujju pointed out.

He added: “Even though the intention is to win the title, we will have to do our best. We don’t have many players; We only came with athletes who are trained officers.”
